Analysis of number/combining sets (beginning of addition) Planet Maths, pages 115-119. Use pegs, pasta or something from around your house to make the addition process visual.
3d shapes: sphere. Discuss the sphere ( how many sides? Find things around the home that are sphere shape ( If you have set up a 3d shape table then add the spheres to it. Your child can make a label reading sphere with your help and place 3d items beside the label.
They can play a sorting game.
Start gathering 1c 2c and 5c coins as we will be learning about money next week!

Writing: Handwriting: Revision pages in big book and small book; maybe write a letter or postcard (free from Post Office) to a friend in your class to say hello! See well-being link on website!
Maths: Addition and using the number line pgs 96, 97, 98 and 99; Planet Maths small book pg 25; Complete the games and activities on Padlet before completing the work book. If you have concrete materials such as Lego pieces, cubes, pompoms or pasta then these could be very helpful for your child to use when adding numbers together.
Irish: Bua na Cainte- “Sa Bhaile” lessons 5 and 6 (free for parents online) complete pg 38 from the workbook. Learn Poem “Eadaí” one verse.
SESE; Science: -Animals; watch “the life cycle of a frog” video and complete the minibeast labelling activity.
Art: Squiglet – How to draw a crab guided drawing lesson. Write a sentence about your picture.
