Next week (June 2nd-5th) the school will be doing an active week. This is in line with what we would have been doing in school next week. Reading: Continue to read books in folder, log on to Get Epic account for additional readers or use the Collins Big Cat Readers
Sight words: Using the sight words from your folder, place them face down and turn over each one reading them as you do so. Write out any unknown words. Play the roll the dice game and other interactive games on Padlet.
Phonics: /aw/ sound, watch the videos, play the games and activities based on the /aw/ sound; Sounds Make Words pgs 33, 34 and 63 or Sounds in Action pg 30 and 31; continue to revise sounds using online flashcards and listen to the Jolly Jingles on Padlet.
Oral Language: Listen to the story The Rollercoaster and answer the following questions( Have you ever been to a funfair? Who went with you? Which ride did you go on? Have you ever been on …?Which funfair games did you enjoy? Are there any activities you would not like? Why not? Who is the author?)
Listen to the Rhyme “Here we go Loopy Loo” a few times. Why not learn it off by heart or even make up your own actions! Maybe record yourself saying it and watch it back!Start video at 2.32 mins.
Writing: Handwriting: /b/ in big book and small book. Watch formation video on Padlet before writing.
Maths: Measures; Money pgs 108, 109 and 110 in big book and pg 28 in small book; Always complete the games and activities on Padlet before completing the work book.
Revise length by making worms using playdough, ask your child various questions such as: describe the different worms; how do you know its short/long/wide/narrow; how could we make different worms; What other kind of worms could we make?
Counting- Count forwards and backwards from 0-20, start at different numbers each time. Ask your child what come before/after each number. Write out numbers 0 -20 and arrange in the correct order. Remove a number and ask your child what is missing. Using only a few numbers organise them from smallest to biggest and vice versa.(you can also use the number printables on Padlet if you wish)

SESE: Summer. Watch and listen to the signs of summer video and complete the labelling activity. (2 videos on link)Using your senses of sight, touch and smell complete the summer scavenger hunt in your back garden.
