Reading: Continue to read books in folder, log on to Get Epic account for additional readers or use the Collins Big Cat Readers

Sight words: Revise words in folder. Go through sight word checklist; practise any unknown words by writing them out twice and playing pairs.

Phonics: Sounds Make Words pgs 37 and 38 or Sounds in Action pg 34 and 35; revision of the sounds and words from phonics homework copy. How many sounds can you remember? Play interactive sorting games on Padlet.

Oral Language: The Beach- listen to the stories and complete the related activities linked to the poster. Practise the Tongue Twister “she sells sea shells”; how fast can you say it!

 

Writing: Handwriting: /p/ in big book and small book. Watch formation video on Padlet before writing. Draw a picture of yourself and your family at the beach and label it or write a few sentences underneath.

Maths: Measures; Capacity and weight  pgs 122, 123, 126 and 127 in big book; Always complete the games and activities on Padlet before completing the work book.

Irish: Bua na Cainte- “An siopadóireacht” lessons 1, 2, 3 and 4 complete pg 47 – 50 from the workbook.

SPHE: Listen to the story “George the Sun Safe Super Star” and discuss how to stay safe in the sun with your parents. Why not design your own sunhat using the template on Padlet

Art: Seaside in a bottle activity
