All donations and contributions to the school will be spent immediately for your children in the school.

Mask wearing: We too, like all parents were disheartened to hear that children were asked to wear masks in school. This is not what we wanted in school but we will listen to the guidelines. Please if you have any concerns about your child wearing a mask, please don’t hesitate to contact the school. I have visited all the senior classes and have reassured them to speak to a member of staff if they are feeling anxious in any way. There will be mask breaks throughout the day and the children will not be wearing the masks outside or at eating times. Please continue to work with the school. Be reassured that we have your child’s best interest at heart and that we are trying to keep everyone as safe as possible in the school community. We will, as always be communicating to you if any changes occur.

Aladdin connect: We have updated our Aladdin system in school and we will be doing all our school communication through this from now on. If you have not already signed up to Aladdin connect please look through your old text messages received from the school for you access codes. All your child’s information and yours, if it changes, can be edited by you. If you have any problems, please contact the school. Details and FAQ’s are available at

As we are entering the colder months of the year and the children are in classrooms where the windows must be kept open at times for ventilation. We are asking children to bring in a fleece/indoor jacket to be left in school. This will be worn in the classroom only. When they go outside they should take off this fleece/jacket and put on their outdoor jacket.  Please label this jacket.

School plays and carol service: Unfortunately, we have been asked to cancel these events in school. We hope to send out videos of the children singing and dancing with their classmates before the holidays.

Storm Barra: The school will remain open tomorrow unless stated otherwise. The school will contact you if the school will be closed.

Thank you as always for your ongoing support and kind messages to the school It means a lot to us in school. We plan to make this Christmas one to remember for all the children for the right reasons.

Stay safe,

Séamus
