The final of the Lunchtime Hurling League was contested on Thursday. It has been named the ‘Marty McGrath Cup’ in honour of all the work Marty has done for hurling in the school and in the community. After a super league campaign Limerick and Cork were the final teams remaining. Cork we’re strong favourites after a dominant league campaign but a determined Limerick side came out on top when the final whistle was blown. It was wonderful to see such a high standard of hurling at primary level and the skills displayed would not have looked out of place in Croke Park. Well done to all of the children who took part in the league and congratulations to the victorious Limerick team.
