Our hurlers took part in the annual sevens tournament in Carndonagh today. With such a strong and enthusiastic group of hurlers in our school, we were able to enter two teams this year. Both teams qualified from their groups beating St.Patrick’s BNS, Craigtown and Dromore NS. With our yellow team progressing to the final with a battling win over St.Patrick’s, unfortunately the blue team lost out to Dromore in the other semi final.

The final was an outstanding performance by the team. The hurling on show was fantastic with the teachers and mentors from the other schools describing the team as the best primary school team they have seen. The captain Oisin from 6th class lifted the trophy and Oisin from 5th class was awarded player of the tournament. Another wonderful achievement for our hurlers and a great day was had by all.
