First Communion today
Congratulations to the boys and girls in second class who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday. We hope you enjoyed your special day!
Adventures with authors
We are really enjoying book week in 2nd class. We have been sharing our own books with our peers as well as enjoying D.E.A.R time every day.
D.E.A.R time in second class made special with some fluffy friends and cosy blankets!! We are also sharing some of our own stories that we have published with each other!
Today we had our first session of cycling skills, which focused on balance. We were also shown how to check that our bicycles were safe to use using the ‘M’ method. We had great fun and we are alresdy looking forward to next week!!

We had great fun making hot chocolate today to warm our bellies on this wet and cold December day.
We has so much fun today at the Pantomine. We travelled in style on a double decker bus, danced and sang our hearts out and our birthday girl Emily even got a special shout out!!
Today we were researching all about orcas with our partners. We worked together to plan our reports.

Carving A Pumpkin
Today we carved a pumpkin and wrote a recount based on the carving.
We had great discussions on how we like to spend our free time when we are not at school.
Food Dudes-Bronze Certificate
Following on from the Food Dude programme, the children are encouraged to bring in their own fruit and vegetables in their lunch-boxes.
Fun in Maths
We have been busy learning all about 2D shapes.
Second class visited Riverwatch Aquarium and visitor centre today. We watched fish swim in their tanks and learned about local wildlife that can be found in our local rivers. We got to hold crabs, a huge 13 pound salmon and even came face to face with an otter who loves to snack on our local salmon. We then headed to Brunswick to play and had a delicious hot meal!!
